At Root32 dental clinic, our specialist dentist focus on the unique dental needs and oral health of your children. With awareness created in parents, we deal with your child’s dental care by doing treatments like fluoride application, fillings, modified root canal treatments, space maintainers and habit breaking appliances.

Fluoride application

It involves painting a varnish that contains high concentrations of fluoride onto the surface of the teeth every six months to prevent decay. Some children may need it more often. It works by strengthening the enamel by making it more resistant to decay.

Pit and fissure sealants/fillings

This is a clear or opaque plastic material that is applied to the pits and fissures of the teeth where decay occurs often. The purpose of the sealant is to occlude the fits and fissures and protect them from bacteria and food. It is used at the age of 6 to 7 years, the sealants can last as long as 5 to 10 years.

Habit breaking appliances

There are the appliances that are used to combat the deleterious habits in children such as thumb sucking, mouth breathing and tongue thrusting etc.

What are the effects of these habits?

If the habit is not controlled at the stage of milk teeth the permanent teeth can get affected. There maybe aberrant development of the jaws leading to altered size and shape and faulty positioning of permanent teeth leading major orthodontic correction in future.
